Each year Nelson welcomes visitors from all over the world and in 2011, Rugby World Cup 2011 adds another reason to visit our beautiful city and region. As the place where New Zealand's first game of Rugby was played in 1870, Rugby is a big part of Nelson's history.

Two RWC 2011 games are scheduled for Nelson, both featuring Italy.
