...where you're allowed to stop and smell the roses!

Nelson Tasman is a region with rich, fertile soils that contribute to the wealth of crops and organic produce we are so well known for. The rich soil also provides the base for many well-kept public and private gardens on display throughout the region.

For gardening and nature enthusiasts you'll want to spend a few days travelling around the area to marvel at the unique blend of native and exotic plants on show. Don't forget to visit the many historic homesteads that are host to fantastic gardens and explore the Miyazu Japanese Gardens and take a walk into the Waimarama Brook Sanctuary. You'll not regret it!
