With a private guided wine tour hosted by wine connoisseur Rod Malcolm you can discover some of the region’s quality, lesser-known boutique wineries and enjoy the taste of local artisan food amid the stunning scenery the Top of the South has to offer.
The website offers a range of tours and prices. Visiting Nelson wineries and craft studios is not the only choice. From your Nelson accommodation, you could be driven to Marlborough to sample wine at some of Rod's favourite cellar doors. A Nelson journey, to or from the Picton ferries, can also include a few Marlborough winery stopoffs. A visit to the famous Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre could be included.
Relax and enjoy a superb lunch at either Jester House or the cellar door cafes of Waimea Estate, Rock Ferry or Wairau River.
Rod and his wife Marion have experienced and appreciated, world-renowned wine regions and cellar doors in such places as the Sonoma, Yarra, Margaret River, Alsace and Avellino in Italy.
